The Short Version

Your ideas are yours. We don't sell data. We collect the bare minimum to make the tool work. Anonymous users leave zero trace. Registered users control everything.

What We Collect

Anonymous users (no account):

• A one-way browser fingerprint hash for rate limiting — the original data cannot be recovered or identified back to you.
• Aggregate score data (score number, category percentages, sector hint) with no personal information attached.
• No IP addresses are stored. No cookies are used for tracking.

Registered users (free account):

• Email address (for account access).
• Submitted idea text and scores (saved to your account so you can review them).
• Account metadata (creation date, submission count).

What We Don't Collect

• We don't store IP addresses.
• We don't use third-party tracking pixels (except Google Analytics for basic page views).
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
• We don't send your idea text to any AI service or third-party API.

How Scoring Works

All scoring calculations happen in your browser (client-side JavaScript). Your answers are processed locally on your device. Nothing is sent to a server for calculation. This is fundamentally different from AI-based validators that send your idea to cloud APIs.

Data Storage

If you create an account, your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the United States, encrypted at rest and in transit. Firebase complies with SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, and ISO 27001 standards.

Your Rights

• Access: View all your saved scores in your Dashboard.
• Delete: Delete your entire account and all associated data from your Dashboard. This is permanent and immediate.
• Export: Download PDF reports of your scores at any time.
• Portability: Contact us to request a full data export.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand basic page traffic (which pages are visited, general geographic region, device type). We do not use it to track individual users or build profiles. Google Analytics data is anonymized.

Children

ValueMyIdea.com is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
